Castle Semple Rowing Club Learn to Row – 6 sessions over 3 Saturdays, £30, ages 18-80+

For those who already know that they want to learn to row and are looking for some dedicated training CSRC are offering a Learn to Row opportunity running over 6 linked sessions: 10.30-12.00 & 12.30-2pm on Saturday 2nd, 9th and 16th July. This course is open to adults (18-80+) and costs £30 which includes a 3 month CSRC membership.

Our focused and structured course will provide you with all the basic skills you need to start rowing and is managed by our experienced UKCC Level 2 Coaches. During the course you will become familiar with the basic rowing stroke, rowing commands, and (weather permitting) will learn to steer, back and manoeuvre a boat on the loch. You will learn using the club’s stable training boats which allow you to get the technique right before you have to worry about stability. By the end of the third Saturday you should also have had the opportunity to row in a training double and in a racing quad (4 people & a cox).
